One of the pioneering theaters of Washington"s resident theater movement, Arena Stage entertains more than 250,000 audience members during a single September-June season. Founded in 1950, the theater has long been coveted by the most talented playwrights, actors, designers, directors and other theater personalities in the business. Arena Stage employs nearly 200 professionals that help present up to 24 performances per week in its three theaters---the Fichandler Stage, the Kreeger, and the Old Vat. Ticket prices and hours vary according to performance.
